What is the history of the company?
- Elementis was created in 1998. It used

Harrisons and Crosfield made the decision to re-focus on to one area
of expertise, chemicals. As a result, all other businesses were sold
ie: timber & building supplies, food & agriculture. In order to bring
the diverse chemical businesses and brand names together for the first
time, the new business was given a different name, Elementis.
At the same time as Elementis was launched in 1998, the Group
also acquired a business, Rheox. This acquisition, together with the
existing chemicals businesses, formed the backbone of the new specialty
chemicals group. You can find more details on the History of Elementis

- Elementis is differentiated from other specialty chemicals companies
because of its clear focus; its businesses largely operate in a small
