China

The Asia Pacific region is currently one of the world's most dynamic growth markets and manufacturing bases and is of great importance to Elementis Pigments. Following in the successful footsteps of our manufacturing base at Shenzhen, China, we have started construction of a second site in China. The new facility, in Taicang, will be a world class iron oxide manufacturing unit. Construction started in June 2003 and it is anticipated that the Taicang unit will be fully commissioned in late 2004.
