Thixatrol® is an additive used by coatings and sealant customers to adhere very heavy objects to a surface via a single spray application. Thixatrol(r) is predominantly based on renewable raw materials and its usage needs relatively low heat input, making it environmentally friendly.
Our Finntalc is an additive used to strengthen products such as long-life plastics for automotive parts and household appliances without adding unnecessary weight. Finntalc(r) is a natural product made entirely from talc, the softest of all minerals, making it an environmentally-friendly solution for our global customers.
Chrome sulphate is used in the tanning of animal hides to make leather goods and our Waynetan 180® is a product designed for faster penetration of chrome during hide preparation. Use of our products results in high-quality leather products.

In 2018, we were awarded a significant contract to supply our newly developed rheology modifier for a premium interior paint line. Elementis has developed a strong portfolio of additives that are extremely effective in waterborne industrial coatings. We have seen an increase in interest in the use of waterborne coatings for industrial uses -- especially in China where the market has seen a shift to lower environmental impact products.
