Job Summary

Provide maintenance for construction, new equipment, installation, repair jobs, assembly of machinery, removal or re-installing equipment as required to meet production goals/targets.

Job Description

  • Must be able to work within team environment which included always working safely and managing risk so that they are understood and made safe prior to beginning every task
  • Receives instructions and/or work assignments for maintenance departments supervision.
  • Leads and direct erection, installation, aligning and repairing of all types of machines, motors, pumps, tools, and equipment.
  • Lead and direct maintenance department construction, repair, and any other miscellaneous projects.
  • Mechanical removal and replacement, rebuilding, repairing, and testing (if required) all plant production.
  • Repair and upkeep of plant facilities.
  • Motor and solenoid wiring, fuse troubleshooting and represent for end effecter equipment only. (This task may be done only after successful completion of the electrical maintenance educational curriculum course and the approval of the company.)
  • Perform general maintenance and bag replacement on plant Dust Collectors.
  • May assist or perform any operations as needed to complete work assignments.
  • Assist in the training of other maintenance or plant personnel.
  • Responsible for cleanliness and care of work areas and equipment.
  • Perform any other duties requested by maintenance supervision.
  • Employees may be required to attend trade schools specific to the job to gain additional skills as required.

What will it take

  • Candidate will need to pass a Fit for Duty examination and a respirator medical clearance examination and respirator fit test to wear a respirator for certain task, even able to wear a respirator during strenuous physical activity.
  • Ability to meet the requirement of the hearing conservation program.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and ither equipment integral to the job task/functions.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, climb and regularly kneel, squat and stoop, twist, and reach overhead with repetitive motions.
  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 55 pounds and no more than 100pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to coordinate eye-hand movements; use hands and fingers fully; reach for, manipulate, and feel objects, maintain body balance on ladders, scaffolding, or high structures.
  • Ability to turning manual valves and connecting and disconnecting large and long length of hoses.
  • Ability to work heights above 50 feet, including on ladders and lifts.
