Job Summary
This role will be integral in developing data and sales tools to support our HI&I business. You will work closely with sales and marketing teams to understand and support customer needs. A key focus of this position will involve evaluating Elementis’ products in the various formulations for the purposes of new product development, generation of technical data for marketing and sales presentations, and providing test data towards customers’ product application issues and needs.

Responsibilities
You will be responsible for performance evaluation of existing and new technologies in the HI&I product range to support business unit strategies. You will design experimentation on the bench with conventional and/or non-conventional/creative approaches that will lead to unique product claims and benefits (with new formula bases, raw ingredients and processing techniques) You will communicate data both internally and externally. You will design new technical data packages and formulations driven by customer needs and market trends. You will present new data to the market via conferences, trade show speaking engagements and white papers. You will be the main technical contact for customers, distributors, and sales managers.
Decision making
Typically, you have the authority to make decisions related to technical direction, methodologies, approaches and product development processes. You can also make decisions related to project execution, including timelines, milestones and resource allocation within budget. Higher-level approvals are required for those related to significant budget allocations, strategic shifts, or major collaborations that have substantial financial or long-term implications.

Technical Knowledge and Skills
- Intermediate understanding of household, industrial and institutional market
- Advanced understanding of product development processes and methodologies for the HI&I industry

Position Requirements
Education: A bachelors degree or higher in a life science. Experience: 7+ years experience in HI&I formulating and/or ingredient testing IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, with a strong capability for presentation creation, Project management software Language Skills: Verbal and written fluency in which language(s) English, Portuguese. Working arrangements: Lab position, on site 5 days weekly Traveling required: Trade shows, customer visits as required.
