Job Description

  • You partner with Marketing and sales team to strengthen and expand relationships with current customers in the assigned territory, especially for the MNC and Regional KA.
  • You identify and pursue new business opportunities in adhesives, sealants, construction, and other adjacent industries.
  • You drive territory growth through new customer development, product introductions, and successful startups.
  • You collaborate with cross-functional account teams to deliver customized product development solutions to key customers.
  • You work closely with the Technical Service team to troubleshoot and resolve product performance or formulation issues.
  • You leverage insights from Technical Services, R&D, and Marketing to support solution-based selling for the commercial team.
  • You demonstrate a proactive and self-driven approach to uncovering new business opportunities and delivering value-added solutions.
  • You provide post-sales technical support and foster long-term customer relationships to ensure sustained business success.
  • You mentor and coach the sales team in identifying and developing new accounts.
  • You conduct market surveys, competitive analysis, and prepare demand forecasts for your territory.
  • You utilize CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce.com, Power BI) effectively, and lead distributor training and market analysis initiatives.
  • You represent Elementis at key industry trade shows and events to enhance brand visibility and market engagement.
  • You organize and conduct technical sessions on Adhesive and Sealants with cross functional teams, customers and distributors.
  • You participate or organize regular update sessions with Global Adhesive and Sealants Marketing Segment Lead providing activities updates from Asia while sharing global updates with Asian team.

What will it take

  • 5–7 years of successful experience in technical sales, preferably in additives for adhesives, sealants, or construction markets.
  • Willingness to travel frequently (minimum 50%), including overnight trips.
  • Proven ability to work within cross-functional teams and drive new business development.
  • Strong background in value-based selling and account acquisition.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin—proficient in writing, listening, and speaking. Additional language proficiency is an advantage.
  • Strong technical, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM tools such as Salesforce.
  • Bachelor or Master degree degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in technical service or sales within the adhesives & sealants industry.
  • Familiarity with construction additives and related market is preferred.
