Job Summary
Scheduled on rotating shifts, off shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed to safely support production operations. Under the supervision of the Site Maintenance Leader, the Electrician will utilize strong knowledge of components and systems to maintain and repair electrical equipment including, but not limited to conveyors, pumps, motors, blowers, fans, compressors, etc. This position requires extensive knowledge of electrical components as well as electrical safety codes and regulations. All duties must be performed in compliance with established company, department, and safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
Electrical & Instrumentation
Perform inspections, repairs, and installations on plant instrumentation and electrical systems—including wiring, control panels, switches, timers, fuse boxes, valves, and meters. Work with electrical systems on pumps, blowers, motors, conveyors, filters, and baghouses. Troubleshoot and support control systems.
Project & Field Work
Complete tasks such as staging materials, installing conduit, drilling, and supporting equipment. Operate, maintain, and care for all tools and equipment used in daily assignments.
Teamwork & Leadership
Assist in training new Electrical & Instrumentation Technicians. Maintain clean, safe, organized work area. Support additional tasks and projects as requested by leadership.

What will it take
Technical Knowledge and Skills
- Must be able to read & interpret P&ID's, electrical wiring diagrams, process logic diagrams, control logic diagrams.
- Fluent in control system terminology and able to apply in work situations.
- Must be able to quickly diagnose and solve process issues: especially those involving instrumentation and electrical issues.
- Experienced with basic troubleshooting and programming of Allen Bradley equipment, Delta-V experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with industrial electrical systems and the National Electrical Code.
- Ability to operate a forklift and other equipment integral to the job tasks/function.
Position Requirements
- Education: Degree or Certification from an accredited program in electrical, instrumentation & controls maintenance.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience working in chemical processing and demonstrated use of electrical, instrumentation & control skills.
- IT Skills: Experienced with basic troubleshooting and programming of Allen Bradley equipment, Delta-V experience a plus.
- Traveling required: 0% of travel required.
- Physical Requirements:
- Candidate will need to complete a Fit for Duty examination, a Respirator fit test (to wear a respirator for certain tasks, even able to wear a respirator during strenuous physical activity), and complete the requirements for the Hearing Conservation Program.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, climb, and regularly kneel, squat, bend, and stoop, twist and reach overhead with repetitive motions.
- Ability to lift and/or carry up to 55 pounds with out assistance.
- Ability to work at heights above 50 feet, including on ladders and lifts.
Salary Range
The base pay rate is $41.61. In addition to hiring pay, compensation package may include additional components such as health benefits, life insurance, 401K, vacation.
