THIXATROL® 5050W
Metallic effect pigment orientation agent for water-borne systems
THIXATROL® 5050W is a modified EVA emulsion copolymer for enhancing the metallic & pearlescent pigments orientation in the coating film through the particle’s steric hindrance. It is suitable for majority of metallic paint for water-borne systems.
Key properties
- Excellent particle’s steric hindrance offers better metallic powder orientation.
- Tiny affects the low shear viscosity when increased dosage.
- Can be used with low-shear thixotropic additives to obtain the best metallic orientation. Compared with the clay-type additives, THIXATROL® 5050W is less likely to cause problems such as water separation, post-thickening, and excessive viscosity when increased dosage.
- It’s a pure water base, without co-solvent.
- Recommend optimal performance to adjust pH range in 9.0 - 9.5.
