THIXATROL® P240X
Polyamide paste thixotrope for solventborne systems
THIXATROL P240X is a special polyamide dispersion which builds up a strong structure in almost all solvent based systems such as paints, inks, sealants etc.
THIXATROL P240X is anti-sagging and anti-settling agent which gives viscosity increasing and imparts stronger thixotropic properties than conventional additives.
Key properties
- Imparts strong thixotropic properties and anti-sagging effect especially in high film-build coatings.
- Excellent anti-settling of heavy pigments such as micaceous iron oxides, zinc dust and anti-corrosive pigments; in some instances, soft settling may occur which can be easily re-dispersed.
- Enhances orientation of metallic and pearlescent pigments.
- Easy to disperse - high speed disperser is adequate for incorporation of this additive.
- Wide processing temperature range, from 20 to 40°C.
